Welcome to LokBuddy. This website is operated by Lokbuddy Technology (Hong Kong) Limited. By purchasing our services, you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

A verified LokBuddy account is required before requesting the free digital guide or making a booking. You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, use the password-reset process if access is lost, and tell us if your account or contact information may have been misused. The person making a booking must be an adult and authorised to provide the group information submitted with the booking.

LokBuddy offers separate services: the free digital city guide, private City Decoding Walks with a matched Local Buddy, and booking assistance for health check-ups delivered by a partner institution. Requesting or purchasing one service does not automatically include another. The public product page and the booking summary show the scope and price of the selected service.

Service selection, dates, availability, group information, booking options, and prices are validated by the server when an order is created and again before a payment is accepted. Browser-displayed or manually altered values are not authoritative. Where Stripe or Antom is offered at checkout, they are alternative payment methods for the same WooCommerce order, not separate bookings.

An unpaid order is only waiting for payment. After payment is verified, a booking may still require operational or partner confirmation before the service is ready to be fulfilled. The relevant product page, booking summary, and status messages explain what confirmation is still required. A payment receipt is not, by itself, a guarantee that every requested date, provider, or operational arrangement has been confirmed.

A City Decoding Walk is a designed route with its own story and playful tasks. LokBuddy selects a suitable Buddy according to the route, date, group, language, contact method, and operational needs; customers cannot browse or select a particular Buddy. A Buddy joins as a real local friend, not a scripted full-time tour guide or unlimited private assistant. You can talk about food, customs, prices, daily life, and what you notice together. A Buddy will not handle passwords, payment codes, bank details, medical decisions, or unsafe or unlawful requests.

Each experience may have its own booking conditions, notice period, opening hours, access arrangements, meeting details, and on-the-day limitations. These will be shown on the relevant product and booking pages before payment. Please review the information for the service you select rather than assuming that the conditions for one experience apply to another.

Please arrive at the confirmed meeting point on time. A Century Between Shores is designed to take about four hours and includes up to 4.5 hours of service from the confirmed start time. The Buddy waits for up to 30 minutes, but customer lateness does not move the standard service end time. If your group has not arrived or cannot be contacted after 30 minutes, the booking is treated as a no-show. Additional whole hours require the Buddy's agreement and separate payment. If a confirmed LokBuddy or Buddy delay reduces the service time, the affected time is restored without an extra-time charge. Weather, ferry and public-transport operations, venue conditions, crowd control, authority instructions, safety concerns, or other events outside LokBuddy's reasonable control may require changes to the order, timing, meeting point or final segment.

For health check-ups, LokBuddy only helps users review partner-provided options and submit appointment requests. Xingyuan Club is responsible for the check-up, medical personnel, equipment, on-site services, reports, and medical quality. A payment receipt and an appointment confirmation are different statuses; Xingyuan Club provides the final appointment details by email.

Cancellation, rescheduling, late-arrival, duplicate-charge, partner-unavailability, and refund rules are set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy. That policy forms part of these Terms.

You are responsible for accurate booking and contact information, suitable clothing and footwear, following lawful safety instructions, supervising children in your group, and deciding whether the walking pace and conditions are suitable for you. Do not ask a Buddy to make payments for you, hold valuables, access financial or account credentials, provide medical care, or participate in unsafe or unlawful conduct. LokBuddy may pause or end an experience where continuing would create a material safety or conduct risk.

LokBuddy does not guarantee that every venue, transport service, view, task, or route element will be available in every condition. LokBuddy is not a healthcare or legal provider. Nothing on this website is medical advice, a medical recommendation, or a guarantee of availability, diagnosis, or outcome. The separate Health Booking Disclaimer applies to health check-up requests.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
