Cancellation, Refund & Dispute Policy

Overview

LokBuddy provides Information Consultation and Linguistic Support services delivered by verified local consultants. This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and disputes are handled. Unless an exception is stated below, services are non-refundable once a consultant has been matched and the session has commenced, because our consultants reserve their time exclusively for your booking.

Cancellation by You

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session are eligible for a full refund, processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session, or once the session has commenced, are not eligible for a refund.

Consultant No-Show (Service Not Delivered)

If your matched consultant fails to attend the scheduled session, the service is considered not delivered. Notify us within 24 hours via WhatsApp or email. You may choose either a full refund or a free reschedule / re-match with another consultant, processed within 5–10 business days.

Cancellation by LokBuddy

If LokBuddy must cancel a confirmed session for any reason, you will receive a full refund within 5–10 business days, or a free reschedule at your option.

Service Quality Disputes

If you are dissatisfied with a session that was delivered, contact support with supporting evidence (e.g., photos, messages). Each case is reviewed individually; where warranted, LokBuddy may offer a goodwill reschedule or service credit. Cash refunds for delivered sessions are not issued automatically.

Third-Party Venue or Institution Cancellation

LokBuddy acts as a coordination platform and is not responsible for third-party operations. If a third-party venue, medical facility, or institution cancels or reschedules, LokBuddy will assist you in rescheduling. The LokBuddy service fee is refundable, but any amounts already paid to or charged by the third party (e.g., medical checkups, tickets, venue fees) remain subject to that third party's own policies and are outside LokBuddy's control.

Client Lateness or No-Show

Arriving more than 15 minutes late, or failing to attend, is treated as a no-show and is not eligible for a refund or reschedule, as the consultant has reserved the time for you.

Duplicate or Erroneous Charges

If you are charged more than once for the same booking due to a system or bank error, the duplicate charge will be refunded in full within 5–10 business days. Report it to support with the transaction details.

Mistaken Purchase

If you booked in error and no consultant has been matched and no session has started, contact us for a full refund. Once a consultant has been matched or the session has commenced, the standard cancellation policy above applies.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We encourage contacting support first — most issues are resolved faster directly. If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated with your bank or card scheme, LokBuddy will submit the order record, your Terms acceptance, and service evidence in response, and the outcome will follow the card scheme's decision.

Digital Assets

Due to the instant delivery nature of our digital assets (guides, itineraries, and resource packs), the base digital package is non-refundable once access has been granted.

Rescheduling

On-the-ground sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice, subject to consultant availability. Rescheduling requests should be directed to support@lokbuddy.net.
